This year, we Celebrated Europe in nine cities across Kosovo and over several weeks we brought together citizens, youth, institutional representatives, and EU representatives to reflect on European values through art, culture, education, and entertainment via diverse activities. Below we are happy to walk you through some of the most memorable moments, through photographs.
School Visits (April 25–30)
Children from primary schools in Vushtrri/Vučitrn, Kamenica, Malishevë/Mališevo, and Pristina had the chance to learn about EU values through interactive discussions with ambassadors of EU member states and EULEX representatives. Students participated in educational games and received the book Planet Defenders by Arben Kllokoqi.
Throughout May, the Instagram challenge #SpotTheEUFlag encouraged citizens to photograph and share EU-funded projects in Kosovo. The winner, to be announced on June 3, will receive a trip for two to Berlin!
Masterclass (May 6): The Wandering Traveler
Led by muralist Vuk Ðurić, the masterclass took place in Europe House Mitrovica North and culminated with the unveiling of the mural on May 9 in Mitrovica North, conveying messages of unity and cooperation.
European Film Festival – EFF (May 6–8, City Theatre in Gjilan)
Featuring films from Italy, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Greece, and others, the festival brought touching, inspiring, and connecting stories. Diplomatic representatives from participating countries also attended the evening events.
Chopin Piano Fest
In our now traditional collaboration with Chopin Piano Fest, the opening concert was held on May 7 with pianist Maria Gabrys-Heyke from Poland – a tribute to the classical European heritage.
Children’s Caravan for Europe Day (May 7–9)
In Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Peja/Peć, and Pristina, the caravan offered creative activities, games, songs, and workshops promoting EU values, with hundreds of children participating.
Europe Day Reception (May 7, Tech Park Pristina)
With the participation of diplomatic representatives and the startup community, this event served as a bridge for institutional cooperation and dialogue.
Exhibition Europe in Miniature (May 9, Europe House Pristina)
In collaboration with BONEVET, children presented 3D-modeled miniatures of European monuments, created with the use of technology.
European Union Family Fair
With booths from member states, children’s activities, traditional foods, and a festive atmosphere, Pristina celebrated with thousands of citizens in the heart of the city at the traditional European Union Family Fair.

Yll Matoshi, Diana Mehmetaj & Band, Majlinda Cikaqi & Band, and Capital T delivered an unforgettable musical evening.
In North Mitrovica, the concert featuring The Bad Week and Something Went Wrong brought a rock atmosphere and youthful energy to the Mitrovica Rock School Pub.
The activities concluded with Startup Europe Week 2025, in partnership with Innovation Centre Kosovo. A week filled with mentoring sessions, networking, AI and cybersecurity training, and success stories from local founders that inspired and empowered Kosovo’s startup ecosystem.
